Louis Villers dit St. Louis and his wife, Mary Joseph Morin also moved to Detroit with their family in the 1749 migration. They settled near John Baptiste and Elizabeth. The three arpents between their farms belonged to St. Etienne.
Being such close neighbors, it is easy to understand how their daughter, Mary Ann met and married John Baptiste and Elizabeth’s son, Francois. The marriage took place in January, 1766 and they obtained permission from the pastor of St. Anne, Detroit, to be married at the Church of the Huron "en consideration de la difficulte present du passage de la riviere".
