  Notes	Per Delores, she said her dad was in the Purple Gang while married to Anna, doing rum running across the river from Canada. But he got out fairly quickly because her Mom got scared and told him to get out. He had to wear satin shirts to be in the gang. Also Delores has a little book her mom kept records of deliveries she made of her bathtub gin. She also made it after prohibition. Per June Quinn Lahti: He had a barber shop on 9 mile Rd on the north side of the road near Schoenherr (East Detroit) north of there was called Harper Woods. He had a big piece of property and a house on one end and the barber shop on the other. He let his sister Grace make a garden on the land one summer. He resisted union organizing attempts for barbers and they threw a stink bomb into his shop one night. The family had to work very hard to get it cleaned up. He and wife moved out to Gratiot Twp to a store, barbershop out there. On Gratiot almost to 23 mile rd. Between 21 and 23 mile road.
