The following History gives a BRIEF visual of how the Drouillards spread throughout the Detroit River Region. It spans from the founding of Detroit in 1701 by the French Explorer, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, to roughly 1900. Many churches began as Missions so religious events were recorded at the parish of origin until a new church could be built. These maps represent more the events that occured, rather than population.
